In every state, if any person wants to drive motor vehicle in public places he / she have valid driving license. Learner license is valid for six months from date of issue of license and a person can apply for drive motor car by printing L sign on the front and rear mirror of car. One must have to apply for learner license before applying for learner license. It is valid for period of six months. It is obtained by an applicant after passing learner test which is written test based on subject of traffic signs, rules and regulations of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988. Learner license is issued to applicant after passing driving license. Application for learner license can be made in form 2 which can be submitted in District Transport Office of your region. Procedures for Applying for Learner License
Applicant must need to appear for test to obtain learner license. An appropriate application form is required which can be obtained from concerned authority office or from official transport department portal.

Attach all documents and submit your application to the RTO / DTO office and collect receipt after submit of application mention date and time of receiving license.
Documents to Be Required for Applying for Learner License
- Application Form No. 20
- Proof of Address, any one from the following documents-
- Ration Card
- Election ID card
- Telephone Bill /Electricity Bill
- Pay slip issued by any Central Government/ State Government/ Local body.
- Proof of Age, any one from the following documents-
- School Certificate.
- Birth Certificate.
- PAN card
Certificate granted by the registered medical practitioner not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon
Applicant to obtain learner license you have to pass learner test. The learner test is conducted by the Inspector of Motor Vehicle. Applicant you need to submit your application in any working days or in working hours to the Regional Transport Department / District Transport Officer of your area.
